Beeton vs Wasaga Beach
The Beeton Stingers
sponsored by Sunny Maple
Holsteins and Mr Gigi's
headed to Wasaga Beach on
the weekend to compete in
their regional silver stick
tournament. The Stingers
were pumped and ready to
play. The 1st game was
against Wasaga Beach on Dec
2nd. In the 1st period
Beeton came out flying and
Kyle Coleman was first to
put the puck in the net with
a great unassisted goal.
Next up Mitchel Livingston
scored assisted by Mackenzie
Aukstakalnis. Billy
McDermott ended the scoring
for the period with a nice
goal assisted by Joshua Main
and Livingston. The 2nd
period was quiet with no
goals being scored. The 3rd
period was a struggle with
the Stingers short handed
for a good part of the time.
Wasaga was able to put one
in. The Stingers held their
cool and won a great game
3-1.
Beeton vs Orono
The Stingers played Orono
later that afternoon. Orono
put in a good effort but
Beeton had the stronger team
and won with a score of
11-0. Goals and assists were
from the following players.

Beeton vs Newcastle
Next game for the Stingers
was Dec 3 against Newcastle.
This was a very exciting
game. In the 1st period
Coleman scored a beauty goal
assisted by Livingston and
McDermott. In the 2nd
Newcastle answered back with
a goal of their own. However
the Stingers came right back
and Coleman scored his 2nd
this time unassisted. Linney
was next with a goal
assisted by Coleman and
Livingston. In the 3rd we
protected our lead and
Beeton wins 4-1. We are
going to the finals!
CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
Beeton vs Mariposa
The Beeton Stingers were
focused and prepared going
into the Finals against
Mariposa. This game had
everyone on the edge.
Mariposa has some good
skaters but we were ready
for them. In the 1st period
Coleman turned on the jets
and scored a sensational
unassisted goal. Mariposa
was next to put one in.
Beeton answered back again
by Coleman with a goal
assisted by Livingston. 2nd
period action Coleman gets
the hat trick with a great
goal assisted by Livingston.
In the 3rd period Coleman
couldn't be stopped and put
in another great unassisted
goal. James Phillip made us
feel more secure with the
final goal assisted by
Coleman. Beeton wins the
game and the Regional Silver
Stick Tournament! M.V.P of
the Tournament goes to a
very well deserved Kyle
Coleman. Congratulations
Stingers on a great team
effort!! We will compete for
the International Silver
Stick in Michigan USA in
late January.
Congratulations also goes
out to the Atom Rep Team for
winning their Regional
Silver Stick. They will
compete for the
International Silver Stick
in Forest Ont. January
11-14. WAY TO GO
