The one year
agreement between the
Beeton Minor Hockey and the
TNT organization is
concluding and the BAA will
once again be registering
Rep teams with the OMHA for
the 2012-2013 season along
with its Local League teams.
For those players who have
benefitted from the
development programs offered
by the organization in the
past and are now qualified
to play at higher levels of
hockey, AAA or using an NRP
at Pee Wee level and above
to try out for AA or A
hockey the BAA will be
happy to support those
players with the
documentation required by
the OMHA to continue to do
so.
Local league play with the
BAA is different from House
League played in other
centres, as it means that
players and teams "travel"
to other South Simcoe towns
rather than play only those
teams within the same hockey
centre. The "away" games for
Local BAA teams range in
distance from Innisfil in
the north to OakRidges and
Nobleton in the south and
provide players with the
opportunity to experience a
variety of competitive
hockey. Any player can
play Local league hockey
where ever they like.
Hockey families in Beeton
and its surrounding rural
areas (Tottenham, Palgrave,
Loretto, Colgan, Alliston,
Cookstown) will continue to
be provided a strong
development program at all
levels at very reasonable
costs with the BAA. These
development programs will
include Goalie, Power
Skating and Hitting clinics
for all relevant divisions.
Additionally, we will be
offering a non-contact
4-on-4 league at the Novice
to Juvenile levels for both
boys and girls. Registration
will be open to all players
whether they are registered
in an organization or not.
The aim of the 4-on-4 league
is to both simulate the fun
of a pick-up game and to
provide all players with an
opportunity to develop their
personal and team-playing
skillset. |

new Beeton Arena and Community
Centre go to
