The BAA's car draw was held June 14th with much success thanks to the help of a wonderful community. Not only was the event sold-out, but many people from the surrounding area came out to enjoy a night of dining and dancing.
I would like to recognize a number of dedicated people who offered both their time and talents in making the event so successful. First and foremost, we need to recognize the hard work of the McMullen's who not only get us the best deal on the car, but also sell approximately 50 tickets and pay for printing of the tickets. To all our ticket sellers who encouraged people to buy early and worked hard to sell all 1,000 tickets - a huge thank you, especially the McMullen's, Ken's Foodland, Ray Lisk, Frank Grosbeck, Hal Rutledge, Michelle Andrews, Elsie Newbigging, Russ Woodward, Nancy Milligan, Daisy Mart, the Archibalds and all our Hockey parents.
A huge thanks goes to Tom Chessell, Jim Gibson, Chris Cranston, Scott Mitchell and their setup and take down crew. Pat Cranston and the numerous kitchen helpers over the 3 days of preparations were tremendously organized and provided another delicious meal.
And to everyone who offered a few hours of their time at the event to cover the door, work the bar, sell liquor tickets, run errands, draw tickets from the stage, record ticket pulls and make announcements - you are a truly generous group of people whose talents are very much appreciated.
To the Lion's who served the food, the OPP who help ensure everyone was safe and to our DJ Rob Boyle, thank you all for your enthusiasm and great work.
And finally, a big thanks goes to my family, Peter, Nick and Emily who answer the phone, hand out and receive tickets from people stopping by the house. Their help and support with the event is very much recognized.
I embrace you all and urge everyone to continue to be such great community supporters. Every one of you is what makes this town great. Thanks again.                                                       Tracy Andrews Car Draw Chair
